Snooker Table - advance notice of price increase from 01/05/2008 The price of our snooker table has been assessed and in order to keep our table we are going to have to raise the price of it from £1.50 per game to £2.50 per game.
The assessment was made in a number of ways, first we worked out the number of games we would be able to play on the table using it 100% of the time; the answer was that we would be able to play 34 games per week maximum.
The second was to work out our current average utilisation of the table, this was not so good. We currently only use the table an average of 4.33 times per week.
Then we worked out the minimum amount we needed to make per month to keep our table alive we have a tall order here as we will need to use our table for at least 17 games per week to keep it alive.
In response to this tall order we looked at the average price of a game of snooker in other clubs in the area and it was seen that the price was around £5.50 per game. So we decided that a fair price would be £2.50 per game.
We want to keep our table and we need your help, please use this facility. If you know people that want to play bring them in, if you are willing to start a team then that would help entirely. We need to use the table or we may be forced to either increase our prices again or to sadly lose the table.
As a committee we are also going to in the next couple of weeks start to advertise our club as having a snooker table and will start to try and get our numbers up however we do still need your help in keeping our snooker table alive. Please tell your friends and family about our table and challenge them to a game. If I am in the club I’ll happily give you a game, use our table, save our table, love our table.
